It doesn’t really matter the breed. But my budget is 50-150 (for adoption or rescue)
I’m buying a dog for my sister as a birthday present (she is 6). I don’t have a lot of money to spend on the actual dog, but I do have a plan for care/health costs for the dog. So no lectures are needed.
I’d rather rescue a dog, then shell out a huge amount of cash to a breeder.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Considering it’s just my sister and I, I’m going to have to say yes. Everyone is on board.

If you know what breed you’re looking for then do a google search including the word rescue before it. There are usually specific rescues for each breed.
It takes a bit of time to look through the sites and find your perfect pooch but I’m sure you will!
Just make sure you mention it’s for a child….as some dogs can’t be rehomed with children.
Good luck!! It’s such a fun process..
will show dogs available in the shelters around you. Is everybody else in the family on board with this plan?
check your local shelter or pound . also try petfinder .com for any local shelters . good luck .
A pet is such a great gift for a little sister, and you’re such a great big sister to give her such a gift. There are a lot of places that have amazing dogs and puppies.
