I bought this yesterday- http://www.tractorsupply.com/pet-care/dog-products/dog-food/dry-dog-food/4health-reg-small-bites-formula-for-adult-dogs-dog-food-35-lb–5149613 It’s inexpensive, but a good food.
They have chicken and rice flavor, and lamb and rice flavor, but their different prices?- http://www.tractorsupply.com/pet-care/dog-products/dog-food/dry-dog-food/4health-reg-lamb-rice-formula-for-adult-dogs-dog-food-35-lb–5138492

Why the price differences on those?

Check out th ingredients on other dog foods…look at the percentages on each ingredient. Higher priced dog food can cost more …brand name additives..What your interested in is that your dog is nourished. All your interested in mainly is what is in the bag, and that your dog is getting everything it needs to be healthy.
Lamb cost more than chicken. Even for people food.
I’ve seen the brand in Tractor Supply. In store, all the varieties are $1 per pound in the largest bag (the 35 pound). Or at least they were all the same price in the store I was shopping.
On-line, prices may vary based on what they’ve overstocked. They’ll run sales on whatever they have in excess. Or, it could be down to differences in ingredient prices for the different formulas
4Health is exclusive to Tractor supply and it’s manufactured for them by Diamond. Had a lengthy conversation with the Dog Product Manager a few weeks back in one of their stores. He said that one of TS’s requirements was that 4Health cost slightly less than similar Diamond brands.
