Kroger Pet Food Recall. Plz Help?

Well, I looked up the Kroger Re-call and it says that a lot of the Pet Pride foods for cats are on re-call, also Old Yeller dog food.. BUT, they didn’t say anything about Pet Pride PUPPY food.

I have been feeding my Doxie mix this food and for the past 2 evenings she has thrown up and been depressed/lethargic… which they say on the re-call are 2 huge symptoms the poisoned pets have been showing.

I am not for certain because like i said, the re-call hasn’t said anything about the puppy food, just cat food and the old yeller brand food that kroger sells.

The recall was issued because some of the products may contain aflatoxin, a fungus-produced carcinogen found in some corn.

One guy said he just buried his 9 month old German Shepherd who has been healthy but recently before he died, he became anorexic and lethargic.. he was feeding the pet pride puppy.. same as what i am feeding.

Someone advice plz!

What should I do??

    Vet obviously.

I’m tracking your IP to report you to your local animal control. You’re either trolling or you’re animal hoarder that’s neglecting your pets. Have fun either way.

Gonna delete this Q now that you’ve admitted to being a lying troll? Have fun talking to animal control btw! XD

When we are suspicious of a food, we immediately cook rice and boiled hamburger and begin feeding that until we know more about the recall. You can make a big pot of rice and use only a 1/2 pound of hamburger. Just make sure the rice has soaked up at least 3 times its volume in water. We use boiled chicken instead of hamburger sometimes. Our Vet approves of rice diet when any dog is ill or bad food is suspected.

Well, based on common sense, the fact that the brand alone is having trouble would be reason for concern. Though I cannot for the life of me figure out why you would have a puppy exhibiting such symptoms and NOT take her to the vet, recall or no recall.

    Vet. NOW.

    And stop feeding that junk.

Contact your Vet and you can also contact FDA, here’s a site, which lists foods that are recalled by lot numbers. If your Vet can determine that the food is likely cause, you can contact FDA and report this. Don’t feed your dog any more of this product or any other grocery store blend. If it isn’t too much trouble, consider a home cooked diet. The reason I suggest this is because of all the continuing recalls that occur, some more publicized than others.
